Still Life Contour Drawings (hatching, stippling and scribbling)

The first shading technique I tried was hatching and cross hatching in which I did in pencil. This was my favorite technique to do because I found it easier to do the shading than the other two techniques. I picked many objects with curved surfaces so that I could practice creating dimension with shading.

Stippling with a pen was the next shading technique I practiced. Although I enjoy how my drawing turned out, I did not enjoy how time consuming this technique was. However, I do enjoy how the bottle in the background turned out, more-so than I do in my other two drawings.

Scribbling with charcoal was the final shading technique I practiced. I found this to be difficult as it is pretty messy. I struggled with shading the pumpkin on this particular trial because I needed it to become more of a gradient than it is now.
